In-Service Training Seminar for Local Media. The in-service training seminar which was organized within the framework of the “Adaptation of Turkish Local Media to the European Union” Project conducted by Mudanya Journalists Association was held in Bursa.  Yavuz Gerçekçi, the director of the association, mentioned that the end of the 15-month project which started on October 14, 2014 was approaching and they would continue representing Bursa and Turkey with new projects.
The project representatives and members of the monitoring team shared their professional experiences from Bulgaria and England study visits conducted under the scope of the project in collaboration with Bulgaria Journalists Union. Vatan Öz, the Chief Editor of the “European Newspaper” published in London participated in the conference via tele-video and addressed the Turkey-England and EU relations
A Class Job Security Specialist Salih Yurtsever also participated in the seminar and informed participants about the job security of media workers for the first time in Turkey. He also addressed the regulations made on the professional standards of the newspaper photographers, reporters and expert reporters through the National Professional Standards which came into force on August 21, 2015.
