Vatan Oz is an award-winning journalist, editor, lecturer and media professional with over two decades of experience in international news, digital publishing, and communication studies.

Journalist since 1992 (34 years of experience)

Resident in the UK for over 30 years.

He has served as the editor of Avrupa Times (founder and owner) and Avrupa News Agency AVA (founder and owner) in London, producing and managing English and Turkish-language news content since 2002

President Vatan Öz has been leading the European Turkish Journalists Association (UK) since 2006.
He oversees international media initiatives and promotes journalistic diplomacy between the UK and Turkey.

He previously worked with TRT, the Turkish State Radio and Television Corporation. (1993)

Vatan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Istanbul University (1996) and an MBA from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. (2019)

English and Turkish official Press Card (FPA- KGK) holder also Global Journalism Council UK representative and European Turkish Press and Journalists Association Member
